Autopilot for DJI Drones App Reviews

This app rocks! Very complex piece of software but all made easy to use with intuitive controls and excellent online videos and documentation.

Absolutely top notch for so many different applications

There are other autonomous software packages out there - not the least of which is the new DJI Go app. However, this app offers many features and capabilities that none of them have — all put together in an extremely well thought out interface for both the iPhone and iPad. This is a solution that just keeps getting better - from the recent release of advanced waypoints to the revolutionary new Airspace capability - the product remains a game changer for the way you fly. I’ve been a long term user and fanboy of Autopilot and still find that the “focus” capability which allows you to let the software control the gimbal to maintain visual coverage of an object (even if that object is moving) to be one of the most powerful things to use. Focus was fantastic with the Inspire and now with Cruise mode - you can allow autopilot to control your yaw to maintain gimbal and quad focus. Amazing. The software is best used with an iPhone 6+ or iPad Air 2 (or above) - both because they offer the best processors for this intensive application and because it offers a barometer which intelligently adjusts the follow me functionality based upon the altitude of the operator. The amount of effort that went in to this app is absolutely stunning. I couldnt be happier with my purchase as I use this app every time I fly!

This app keeps changing and improving the game everytime. Now it supports X5!! What else can I ask for. Loving it. Will take you a couple of minutes to read through the instructions by I highly recommend you to. It will be worth it!

Thanks DJI for crippling the SDK, and thanks AutoFlightLogic for “stopping support” for the device I own… Sorry but its not really acceptable in my opinion… I purchased Autopilot as an accessory to my P2v+. I would think it acceptable if it didn’t ever work with my P3 (I do own both), but its kinda screwy to drop support… unfortunately nothing was sent by email or other notification and my app auto-updated and i’m SOL… I’d suggest 2 apps, one for P2V and one for P3 and newer if thats the dumb move DJI wants to pull… but still, as a buyer, AFL is the one who “cheated” me out… I wonder if Apple will grand a refund after months… :/

Update: Airspace mode is now Network enabled which means you are no longer limited on distance from the controller! This new version with waypoint and airspace mode means I never have to manually control my drone again!

Ive tried Litchi, Airnest, and Copilot. But *this* app is far superior, not only in the functionality, but in incredibly detailed documentation. My only recommendation is to make some of the dashboard text a little larger. On an iPhone or iPad Mini it can be a bit of a hunt to find data of interest. The original DJI Ground Station app made good use of "large, friendly letters". Other than that, this is a must-have app for anyone with a current generation DJI UAV.

This is the most comprehensive app out there. The developers update the app regularly and keep adding more features. Its my goto app when flying my P3

Cant believe support was withdrawn after spending. $30 on the app. Loved first flights with the app now I have a did. Not right.

This App is by far the best of its kind and the developers are always improving it. Its obvious they are both top notch developers AND UAV Pilots. This app has made so many amazing ideas become a reality.

Loving all the functionality offered by the new Waypoint Mode. This product is so far ahead of anything else out there its incredible.

Beautiful professional, smooth videos again and again, thats what Ive experienced. And building a flight plan to program perfectly in advance makes it efficient every time! 2 human operators cannot be this precise! Now all the different camera settings and trigger points make transitions fabulous, making editing mostly unnecessary. Well worth the money!

Amazing amount of features for a new release that can only get better. Complex? yes, as it should be. Taking the time to learn the ins and outs of Autopilot is worth it. The detailed documentation and videos are top notch. With decent response time for tech support and feature requests things will get even better. I have a feeling there is a ton of great add-on and tweaks already in the making. Recently added support for dronelogbook.com was a welcome surprise. With a few more additions to blackbox mode to replicate or improve on the DJI Go app, and you’ll spend all of your time in Autopilot.

What can I say?! This app has everything needed. Well DJI app doesnt give you all the options you can accomplish with this app. Follow from the side follow from behind etc. Zip line is also a great mode. Also this app can accomplish any mode and takes into consideration the wind speed!!! Awesome app!!!! And wow waypoints just replaced like three other apps Hahaha love it. Shots that could take 5-6 batteries will take 2 at most. Makes everything so much easier!!

This is nothing short of amazing. It makes me feel like Ive been performing aerial photography for years. It flies and I get to capture the amazing shots!

This app puts DJI Go to shame. Unbelievable, sophisticated shots are easy if you take the time to go through the flight school.

I own a parrot bebop 2 and phantom 3 advance. Ever since i downloaded this app i was able to do all those tricks that you see in youtube I only played with it a total of 3 hours, 20 min each. Cant wait to take this on my next vacation.
